The CSV import shows format errors
Check that the file was created from the official template and that it keeps the required start_date and title columns. You may include optional columns, but their names must match the fields supported by TimeDivers. Also review the separator, file encoding and date format. If the CSV was edited in a spreadsheet application, export it again as CSV and avoid automatic changes to dates, quotation marks or line breaks.
The ZIP import shows warnings
A ZIP file may still be imported even if warnings are displayed. Review them carefully to check whether they affect images, attachments, videos, tags or other optional data. If a required file, such as events.csv, is missing, or if required columns are missing inside the CSV, the import may be blocked. When warnings refer to specific resources, correct those files and generate the ZIP again before repeating the import.
Images are missing after an import
If the import was performed from a CSV with external images, check that the URLs are still publicly accessible, do not require login and allow downloads from the server where WordPress is installed. Also bear in mind the site storage limits and the restrictions that apply to importing external images. If the import was performed from a ZIP file, check that the image files are included in the package and that the paths indicated in the CSV match their location inside the ZIP.
The PNG or PDF export does not look as expected
The export respects the current timeline view, styles, filters, date range and zoom level, but it should not be understood as a literal screenshot of the entire browser interface. Before exporting, adjust the visible range, zoom and filters, and check the preview. On very large timelines or with excessive zoom, the export may be too large or fail; in that case, reduce the zoom, narrow the date range or split the export into several parts.
I cannot find an event in the horizontal view
Check that the event is not hidden by a tag filter or by a custom date range. On long timelines, a low zoom level may make the event difficult to locate even though it is still available. Try clearing filters, expanding the date range or increasing the zoom. If you access the timeline through a direct event link, confirm that the event still exists in that timeline.
I cannot embed a timeline
Private timelines are not intended to be embedded. Use a public or unlisted timeline and copy the embed code generated by TimeDivers without changing the td_embed parameter or the source URL. You may adjust dimensions such as width or height if needed. Also check that the page where you want to insert the iframe allows embedded content and that no security policy, cache plugin, visual builder or site setting is blocking external iframes.
A YouTube or Vimeo video does not play
Check that the video is still available on the source platform and that its author has not restricted embedded playback on other sites. Age, privacy or regional restrictions may also apply, as well as cookies, browser blockers or page security policies. If the video plays correctly on YouTube or Vimeo but not inside TimeDivers, review the URL entered and try replacing it with the public canonical link for the video.
An event link does not open the expected event
Check that the event still exists and that the link does not point to an earlier version of the timeline. TimeDivers links events through the event identifier; if the event has been deleted, duplicated, recreated or moved to another timeline, an old link may no longer point to the expected event. Also check whether active filters or a date range are preventing the event from being displayed when the link opens.
Could not find the solution?
If the problem persists, contact TimeDivers support. Whenever possible, include the timeline URL, the browser and device used, a screenshot, the CSV or ZIP file involved if applicable, and a description of the steps needed to reproduce the problem.
